Lets start with the hair-smoothing, shine-boosting, frizz-fighting power that is Moroccan Oil. This was one of the first hair products to boast of Argan Oil as their secret ingredient and a multitude of brands tried to follow suit and dupe the formulation. But for me, none have come very close. Theres no point beating about the bush on this one it is not pure Argan Oil, but the brand never claims it to be. The first three ingredients in its formula are silicones (Cyclopentosiloxane, Dimethicone and Cyclomethicone), which for some is a bad thing. But for me, my hair loves it, the more cones in hair care the better because Ive got split ends and frizz-factor aplenty so the silicones will work to smooth all that down, add shine and in theory, prevent some moisture loss. (Completely different story for skincare, but that warrants another blog post!). Argan Oil Moroccan Argan Oil is present of course, but its not the main ingredient I personally am fine with that because the results definitely shine through. Plus it smells really nice and the bottle usually lasts me a good four months before I have to weep at the last few remaining droplets. Moving on to Trilogy. You have heard me wax lyrical about this brand since the blog was born, and I really cant recommend them enough (more posts on Trilogy here and here ).

Makeup Moment: Suave│Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil

Why I haven’t given hair styling oils a chance in the past is beyond me. But I sure am glad that I came across Suave’s Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil because it really is a game changer. I start off by applying 1 pump-1.5 pumps to damp hair, concentrating the product on the mid-shaft and ends where it tends to be driest the most. I either let my hair air-dry from there and sport my natural curls, or I can go for the straight and sleek look-which is what I have been favoring lately. Now that this hot summer weather is slowly phasing out and we are preparing for fall, I find that working with a blow dryer and flat iron is a much more tolerable process than it was in 90+ degree weather a couple weeks ago. After I am done styling, I immediately notice the difference in my hair. My hair is softer, shinier-not in an oily/greasy way, my ends look healthier, and my frizz isn’t such a hassle to tame anymore. If I need to, sometimes I go back and apply a small amount of this oil after styling, to the ends to make them extra shiny and to tame down any little frizz that’s poking out. Honestly, my hair hasn’t looked or felt this good in a long time. A sweet bonus to Suave’s Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil is that it speeds up my hair’s drying time, which means that my blow drying time is cut short. Love it!

Massageone pump into each of the five facial points. Can also lightly massage a small amount under eye. Can be used as a whole body moisturizer as well as a hydrating nail treatment (moisturizes cuticles) and moisturizing hair treatment (controls frizz and protects hair from heat styling tools and environmental factors). As a massage oil, Argan oil proves highly beneficial for those suffering arthritis or rheumatism. Ingredient List: 100% virgin,cold-pressed, responsibly wildcrafted* Moroccan Argan Oil (ARGANIA SPINOSA) (cosmetic grade) from Morocco. Non-GMO. Non-Irridiated. Not tested on animals. Vegan. Watts Beauty Argan Oil From Beauty Expert & Best Selling Author – Kat James, One of the most important things you can do to “get back your virgin skin” is to rebuild the skin’s lipid barrier (which many anti-wrinkle products ironically destroy), both from the inside-out (with a clean, anti-inflammatory, and healthy fat-rich diet) and from the outside-in with topicals that actually feed and rebuild the lipid barrier of your skin. Because of it’s unique lipid structure- including an anti-inflammatory (and anti-acne) sterol profile that no other oil possesses- nothing beats cold-pressed, organic argan oil in this category. I received a two ounce sample of Watts Beauty’s ArganGold six months ago and am just getting to the bottom of the little bottle.
