She became fascinated with beauty products, and found that certain products could alter her skin. In her early 20s, Onesti started studying interior design but her passion for beauty products and esthetics remained. She was on the fence about her career path and decided that one way to pay for her education would be to get an esthetician license. After finishing an associate degree in general education at Sierra College, Onesti returned to her native Napa and immersed herself in beauty school full time. She eventually landed at Luxe Spa, where she says she come in contact with the wonderful women in my life who have become my customers. I learned a tremendous amount from the owner of Luxe in terms of what to do and what not to do, Onesti added. Thats what allowed me to make careful decisions about growing my business, mastering new skills before I grew and the correct way to slowly add on more services. While Luxe wasnt her own business, she knew she eventually wanted to be a small business owner and took time to learn about the spa business. At age 23, Onesti went out on her own. She started Pure Skin Spa using $20,000 of her own savings to purchase equipment. I was working at the spa, baby-sitting on my days off and basically working seven days a week, she says. I was frugal and very careful with my spending. Onesti started renting a single treatment room at the Relaxation Co. Day Spa on Lincoln Avenue.

Such involvement helps raise consumer awareness and drives foot traffic to pet stores. The overall outlook for the Pet Stores industry is positive. Rising pet ownership, especially of smaller pets, will catalyze industry growth in the next five years. In addition, the rebounding economy and rising disposable income will likely boost total retail spending, enabling pet owners to pamper their pets and splurge on pet products. Healthcare products and dietary supplements will further underpin industry growth as consumers search for ways to avoid expensive medical treatments, says Brennan. With rising sales volumes, especially for premium products that typically have higher markups, industry profitability is expected to improve. Consequently, IBISWorld forecasts industry revenue to rise at an annualized rate in the five years to 2019. For more information, visit IBISWorlds Pet Stores in Canada industry report page. With convenience and ease in mind, here are a few tips that will keep you looking beautiful this season, without all the fuss or having to break the bank: Glowing, Vibrant Skin Poor diet, sun exposure and smoking are just a few of the factors that can lead to the fine lines and wrinkles many women work hard to prevent. While everyone would love a quick fix to erase years of skin abuse, there are some tricks to slow down the process. Covering your skin from the sun’s harmful rays and keeping its damaging ultraviolet rays at bay helps ward off premature aging and helps to preserve the skin. Whether it’s cloudy or sunny, your best defense is to apply sun screen that contains an SPF of 30 or higher. You can further decrease your exposure by use of wide brim hats, baseball caps and other skin-covering clothing. Invest in a quality night cream that works deeply to restore the skin’s appearance as you sleep. Some products offer multiple benefits that firm, improve elasticity and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
