They both felt that my color, excitement, enthusiasm and passion for the beauty and rebelliousness of life would be a perfect fit for Preserve. I was really excited! What makes Preserve different? Well, Preserve is different for a lot of reasons. What makes it different is that a style icon is curating it, but she has really made the focus on the artisan, not on herself. Whether you feel that Blake is a style icon or not, her beauty and style are undeniable. She is very conscientious of details and beauty and what goes in to making something special. Blake isn’t about instant gratification. She is much more about the process. Not to be cliche, but it’s not always about the destination but the process, and that’s what she’s trying to say.

Unfortunately, these products appeared to taken from the crash site of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, which was looted after the plane went down last week. Parkomenko lives in Torez, nearby the MH17 crash. She described herself as a separatist and said she is “sick of everything Ukrainian due to the recent events.” On one particular photo, in which she is holding blue “Catrice” mascara, she writes, “Mascara from Amsterdam, or rather from the field, well you understand.” She also posted two selfies wearing the mascara. When a commenter asked where she got the mascara, she replied, “An acquaintance of mine, a looter, gave it to me.” A number of Instagram users then attacked her for using the mascara. However, as an admittedly pro-Russian separatist, she may not have been fazed.

They thought my wood was ceramic Natural Shampoo products because of my finish, he said. That was funny, but I took the money. Mainly, Koch uses Colorado woods such as aspen and juniper and will turn anything I can figure out how to get on a lathe. Woodworking has been a passion since I was a kid, Koch said. In 1984, I told my accountant I was going to start a new business making wood products and do art shows. He told me I was stupid, but I have made a living ever since. I had more of an imagination than he knew. Koch got his start in the construction business. Out of high school, I got a job nailing drywall, before the days of screw guns, he said. For six months, I nailed off sheets of drywall until they let me start hanging it. Then I became a drywall finisher and texturer, and 15 years later I had one of the biggest drywall companies on the Western Slope. Kochs been doing art shows for 30 years, with the most in one year numbering 22. My norm has been about 12, he said. I have shown in most Western states and have now concentrated on Colorado in the summer and Arizona in the winter. Mark Belings Mountain Art Festivals are among Kochs favorite venues. I was at the first show Mark did in Breck, and he was kind to let me do every show he has ever put on, Koch said.
