5WPR Continues Award-Winning 2014 – Yahoo Finance
Revenues declined 24.8% year over year to $201.2 million, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $245 million by 21.8%. Loss per share of $1.04 was also worse than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $0.29 per share by 96.4%. The results also compared unfavorably with earnings of $0.10 per share in the prior-year period, thanks mainly due to lower sales. Revenues also missed managements expectations due to higher-than-expected sales decline in celebrity fragrances, especially the Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift brands. Gross margin contracted 900 basis points to 40.2% in the quarter due to sluggish top-line growth. The management expects modest improvement in fiscal 2015 earnings. They expect net sales headwinds to continue for the first half of fiscal 2015, resulting primarily from a lower level of product innovation. Downward Estimates Revisions After disappointing results, analysts have slashed their earnings estimates for the company. Zacks Consensus Estimates for the current quarter and the fiscal year now stand at ($0.34) per share and $0.68 per share respectively, down from $0.21 per share and $0.93 per share, 60 days ago. Falling estimates had sent Elizabeth Ardenback to Zacks Rank # 5 (Strong Sell) in May.

Benjamin Moore® Reveals Guilford Green HC-116 as Its 2015 Color of the Year – Yahoo Finance
maker of $1,600 trench coats, said a deteriorating market will hurt profitability this year, the latest among luxury-goods companies to forecast difficulties as Chinese shoppers curb spending. Burberrys warning that second-half wholesale revenue will decline and that it expects slight downward pressure on margins sent the shares down as much as 6.2 percent, the steepest intraday decline in a year. Mulberry Group Plc (MUL) slumped as much as 25 percent today after the British luxury handbag maker said it forecasts full-year earnings significantly below analysts estimates. Fewer Chinese tourists have been shopping in Hong Kong because of pro-democracy protests over the past three weeks, while fighting in Ukraine and the resulting sanctions have depressed Russian spending in Europe . That points to a perfect storm closing in on the luxury-goods industry, Exane BNP Paribas analyst Luca Solca wrote in a note this month. The market does not seem to give much credit to Burberrys sales momentum, possibly due to another year of lack of operating leverage and limited visibility on the timing and magnitude of cost reduction and margin expansion, Thomas Chauvet , an analyst at Citigroup in London , wrote in a note to investors.
