Gross margin contracted 900 basis points to 40.2% in the quarter due to sluggish top-line growth. The management expects modest improvement in fiscal 2015 earnings. They expect net sales headwinds to continue for the first half of fiscal 2015, resulting primarily from a lower level of product innovation. Downward Estimates Revisions After disappointing results, analysts have slashed their earnings estimates for the company. Zacks Consensus Estimates for the current quarter and the fiscal year now stand at ($0.34) per share and $0.68 per share respectively, down from $0.21 per share and $0.93 per share, 60 days ago. Falling estimates had sent Elizabeth Ardenback to Zacks Rank # 5 (Strong Sell) in May.

The festival will offer several contests this year including a cooking contest, a scarecrow contest and a photography contest, said Ms. Hoopes. For the cooking contest, recipes must include cheese, bacon or cheese and bacon. Entries should be delivered to the school by 9 a.m. and winners will be announced later in the day. For the scarecrow contest, sponsored by the Friendship Garden Club, entries should also be brought to the school. The photo contest will award prizes to the best photos of Friendship. Entries should be dropped off at the school early in the day. There will also be a car show on Main Street, organized by Dan Weir. Cars of every make, model and year are welcome to participate and may simply show up and register that day.
